Dog ownership Advice

  • Have toys that make the dog use their brain.

  • Always check your dog and yourself for ticks if they walk through tall grass or leaf piles as ticks like to hide in them.

  • If they are a hunting dog, keep an eye on them when they are off leash in a park or backyard.

  • If the dog is not spayed/neutered when you get them, take them to the vet to have it done.

  • Do research on the breed of dog you’re looking for before getting them.

  • Get as much information about the dog breed you’re looking for.

  • If the dog has an unknown history, DNA and health tests can be helpful.
